In a quest to answer this question, Simon Sinek, an ethnographer by training, looked for and discovered certain patterns in how organizations think, act, and communicate with their employees and customers. He's boiled down these patterns into a simple framework called the Golden Circle, featured in his book "Start with Why."
The Golden Circle allows us to get to the heart of what inspires people, or as Mr. Sinek puts it, to understand that people don't buy what you do, but rather why you do it.
